Early Music Education
Since June 2025, I shifted from a career in biotech to a position in early music education with In Harmony Music.
What's my role?
Through family classes, school programs, community events, and private events, my role is to create an intentional lesson plan that allows children to experiment with different instruments, experience connection through music, and explore creative movement.
How this career pivot came about/why I absolutely love it
After losing my job in biotech in March of 2025 due to a lack of funding for our company, I played some original songs at a singer-songwriter event in Benecia, CA. The co-founders and brilliant minds of In Harmony Music were in the crowd, and they reached out to ask if I would be interested in facilitating these classes.

As a kid who attended many Kindermusik classes in Wisconsin and grew to adore music, I was immediately interested. I was able to experience a few IHM classes, and I loved their focus on building community. After an intense training period, I decided to join In Harmony Music.
I feel constantly inspired and grateful to witness children's creativity. And I feel lucky that I can teach music as a means of emotional regulation, building connection, and fostering joy in our every day lives.
This job opportunity has many breaks that align with school schedules, allowing me to focus on my own musical creativity and gigging as well.
