Parking ticket dress
I collected parking tickets from SF residents to make a dress out of tickets! This was ultimately for cover art for a song Romz and I wrote about how expensive San Francisco is (especially as an artist).
Long story short, after my company went under and I found out I was losing housing (a very stressful time of constantly sending out job and apartment applications), I racked up a bunch of parking tickets because I had no where to commute to, and I had issues with getting a residential permit. Now, I live in a metered parking area where a permit is not available. I need a car to teach music in schools throughout the peninsula/to lug music equipment around the bay. Within the city, I rely on muni and biking :).
This dress has fostered a lot of conversations online with different points of view, some harsh (and aimed towards my alleged incompetence), and some who feel similar frustrations with the SFMTA. I am really happy to make anything that encourages real conversations about how we can make SF a livable city. And I've always felt the best art is the most polarizing art.
Duboce Park Jam
I played at the Duboce Park Jam, a fun community event in San Francisco that is organized by Friends of Duboce Triangle.

...and LOOK! They quoted me in an article about it!

As someone from a small town in Wisconsin, I am always looking for ways to feel like I'm contributing to a community of people who look out for each other here. What better way to do that than through music?

Playing with some bands
In 2025, a huge goal of mine was to gain more experience performing, particularly with bands (seeing as I had only really done solo and duo gigs).

I found the Vince Charming Band on craigslist, auditioned as a harmony singer, and made the cut! I gigged around the Bay with Vince as a duo, acoustic, and full-band act. Some of the most memorable gigs were at the SF Zoo for their sunset Fridays series and the Ivy Room.

Vince, if you're reading this, I appreciate all you have done to support my music and art career!
Yoga
I have been teaching yoga in San Francisco for 2 years. I have a 200 hour RYT, a 50 hour training in breath work and sound-healing, and a 50 hour certification in children's yoga.

Every day, I am really trying to understand more about the intersection of yoga, breath, and music. I have been fortunate enough to see the ways in which all of these can improve lives. Next steps? Possibly going back to school for music therapy? Finding more opportunities to share these practices with a broader range of communities?
